Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including wiring, panels, and fixtures
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations
- Perform system inspections and maintenance to prevent failures
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed
- Train junior electricians on best practices and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois state electrician license (Journeyman or Master)
- Minimum 5 years of commercial/residential electrical experience
- Proven expertise with conduit bending, motor controls, and VFD systems
- OSHA 10/30 certification preferred
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in confined spaces
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation
