Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical systems in commercial and industrial facilities
- Interpret blueprints and technical specifications for complex electrical layouts
- Ensure full compliance with NEC, OSHA, and Illinois electrical codes
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using advanced diagnostic tools
- Lead apprentice electricians and coordinate project timelines with contractors
- Implement energy-efficient solutions and sustainable electrical practices
- Document all installations and maintenance in compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Journeyman or Master Electrician license
- Minimum 5 years of commercial electrical experience
- Expertise in reading complex electrical schematics and blueprints
- Proficiency with conduit bending, transformers, and VFD systems
- OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent safety credentials
- Strong troubleshooting skills for industrial control systems
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure environments
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
