Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings and high-end residential properties
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Ensure all work complies with NYC Building Code, NEC, and OSHA regulations
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using advanced testing equipment
- Supervise junior electricians and apprentices on project sites
- Coordinate with contractors, architects, and building management teams
- Maintain detailed project documentation and safety records
- Stay current with emerging electrical technologies and green energy systems
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Electrician License (Class A or B)
- Minimum 5 years of commercial/residential electrical experience
- Proven expertise with conduit bending, wiring, and control systems
- Familiarity with NYC DOB inspection processes and paperwork
- OSHA 10/30 certification required
- Clean driving record and valid Class D driver's license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights up to 30 feet
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience with energy-efficient systems and smart home technology preferred
