Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment in compliance with NEC and NYC building codes
- Diagnose electrical faults using advanced testing equipment and implement effective solutions
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications for accurate project execution
- Supervise junior electricians and apprentices while ensuring adherence to safety protocols
- Coordinate with contractors, clients, and inspectors to meet project timelines and quality standards
- Perform system upgrades and energy-efficient retrofits for commercial and residential clients
- Maintain detailed service logs and documentation for all completed work
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Electrician License (Master or Journeyman required)
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on electrical experience with commercial/residential projects
- Proven expertise in troubleshooting complex electrical systems and circuitry
- OSHA 30-hour certification and current CPR/First Aid credentials
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.) and industry software
- Strong knowledge of NYC building codes and permitting processes
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces at elevated heights
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
