Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in both residential and commercial settings.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate and code-compliant work.
- Ensure all electrical work strictly adheres to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building regulations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical systems and circuitry efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site while adhering to all OSHA safety regulations.
- Estimate material costs and provide accurate time estimates for project completion.
- Mentor junior apprentices and assist in training programs when required.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician License in New York State.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Proficiency in using electrical tools, meters, and testing equipment.
- Strong understanding of electrical theory, circuitry, and power distribution.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy materials and working in various positions (standing, bending, climbing).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
