Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, devices, and fixtures in residential and commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan electrical layouts.
- Perform quality control inspections to ensure all work meets local, state, and national electrical codes (NYC NEC).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently and safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients and project managers regarding project timelines and status.
- Educate clients on energy-efficient solutions and electrical system maintenance.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License issued by the New York State Department of Labor (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the electrical trade.
- Familiarity with modern electrical technologies, including smart home systems and energy management.
- Strong knowledge of NEC codes, OSHA safety standards, and electrical theory.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and physical stamina for field work.
