Responsibilities
- Perform the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment in commercial and residential settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to determine layout and wiring.
- Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building regulations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently and safely.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely project completion.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License in the District of Columbia (or ability to obtain reciprocity).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in electrical construction or maintenance.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical theory, wiring techniques, and circuitry.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.
- Current Driver's License and reliable transportation.
