Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and residential buildings
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and DC regulations
- Diagnose electrical issues using specialized testing equipment
- Supervise junior electricians and apprentices on complex projects
- Coordinate with contractors, clients, and building management
- Document work orders and maintain detailed project records
Qualifications
- Valid District of Columbia Journeyman or Master Electrician license
- Minimum 5 years of commercial/residential electrical experience
- Proven expertise in conduit bending, wiring, and circuit installation
- OSHA 10/30 certification required
- Familiarity with energy-efficient systems and smart technology
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in confined spaces
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation
