Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes.
- Perform routine inspections and safety testing of electrical systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with construction teams to wire new buildings or renovate existing structures.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper disposal of waste materials.
- Provide exceptional customer service and explain technical issues to clients in simple terms.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician License required (State of Illinois).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various environments.
