Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate installation and compliance with local and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, including wiring issues, circuit breakers, and lighting systems.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and material usage.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate technical details clearly to clients.
Qualifications
- Certified Journeyman Electrician License (State of Illinois).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and technical drawings.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment (multimeters, voltage testers).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
