The Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who can handle residential and commercial projects with precision. You will be responsible for reading blueprints, installing wiring, and ensuring all work meets local and national electrical codes.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to prevent system failures.
- Communicate effectively with clients and project managers regarding job progress and requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Journeyman Electrician License in the State of Illinois.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in residential and commercial electrical work.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Vocational/Technical training preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and power tools.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
- Tools: Own reliable transportation and basic hand tools.
