Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial, residential, and industrial settings
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications to ensure precise execution
- Conduct thorough electrical inspections and troubleshooting using advanced diagnostic tools
- Comply with all local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC, NFPA)
- Mentor apprentices and junior electricians on best practices and safety protocols
- Coordinate with contractors, clients, and project managers for seamless project delivery
- Document work progress and maintain accurate service records
Qualifications
- Valid District of Columbia Journeyman Electrician license (mandatory)
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on electrical installation experience
- Proven expertise in reading complex electrical blueprints and schematics
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards and NEC regulations
- Experience with commercial, residential, and government projects
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in physically demanding environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
