Summit Electrical Contractors is seeking a highly skilled and Licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our elite team in Las Vegas, NV. What You Will Do:
- Perform complex electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs.
- Ensure all work meets strict National Electrical Code (NEC) and local NV regulations.
- Interpret blueprints and schematics to plan efficient electrical layouts.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant job site at all times.
Responsibilities
- System Installation: Install and troubleshoot electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and circuitry, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Compliance Management: Adhere to all state and local building codes, ensuring all permits and inspections are handled correctly.
- Blueprint Analysis: Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to execute complex wiring projects.
- Safety Enforcement: Enforce strict safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Customer Service: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide professional updates on project progress.
- Team Collaboration: Mentor apprentices and collaborate effectively with other tradespeople on job sites.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Nevada Journeyman Electrician License is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in the electrical trade.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficient in reading blueprints, using electrical testing equipment (multimeters, voltage testers), and circuit analysis.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent verbal communication skills.
