Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment according to local and national electrical codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical circuits, wiring, and equipment.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently and safely.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and repair or replace defective components.
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA safety regulations and company standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely project completion.
- Mentor apprentices and junior electricians as needed.
Qualifications
- Licensed Journeyman Electrician: Valid California Journeyman Electrician License is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of commercial and residential electrical experience.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
- Safety: OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
- Tools: Proficiency in using a wide range of electrical testing and hand tools.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliability: Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
