Responsibilities
- Execute diverse construction tasks including site preparation, excavation, material handling, and structural assembly
- Operate heavy machinery (forklifts, excavators, bulldozers) with precision and safety compliance
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean, organized job sites
- Collaborate with carpenters, electricians, and other trades professionals
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and compliance with building codes
- Maintain equipment through daily inspections and basic maintenance procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on construction or labor experience
- Valid OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong understanding of construction tools, materials, and safety standards
- Basic math skills for material calculations and measurements
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as project demands
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
