Responsibilities
- Perform physical labor tasks including digging, lifting, carrying materials, and operating hand/power tools
- Assist skilled tradesmen with site preparation, demolition, cleanup, and material handling
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain organized job sites
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and supervisor instructions
- Transport materials using wheelbarrows, dollies, and other equipment
- Assist in setting up and breaking down temporary structures and scaffolding
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance reports
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment operation
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided if needed)
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with no tolerance for tardiness
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and stand for 8+ hours
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Previous construction experience preferred but not required
