Responsibilities
- Perform physical labor tasks including digging, lifting, carrying materials, and operating hand tools
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, electricians) with project execution
- Maintain clean and organized job sites according to OSHA standards
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and project specifications
- Operate light machinery (saws, drills, compactors) with proper certification
- Report safety hazards and maintain equipment functionality
- Participate in daily team briefings and project updates
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of construction or related labor experience
- Valid Texas Driver's License (required for equipment operation)
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather
- Strong work ethic with punctual attendance
- Basic math skills for material measurements
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Houston metro
