Responsibilities
- Perform heavy lifting, material handling, and equipment operation on active construction sites
- Assist skilled tradespeople with excavation, foundation work, and structural assembly
- Maintain job site safety protocols and adhere to OSHA standards
- Operate power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and hand tools efficiently
- Read blueprints and follow verbal instructions from site supervisors
- Prepare work areas by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and securing materials
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
- Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license with clean record preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in physically demanding conditions
- Willingness to work overnight shifts (6 PM - 6 AM) in all weather
- Basic knowledge of construction safety protocols and PPE usage
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions precisely
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Kansas City metro area
- Pre-employment background check and drug screen required
