Responsibilities
- Perform heavy lifting, excavation, and material handling under site supervision
- Operate power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy equipment (forklifts, excavators)
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain clean job site conditions
- Assist skilled tradesmen with concrete pouring, framing, and demolition tasks
- Read blueprints and execute verbal instructions from project managers
- Monitor equipment functionality and report maintenance needs
- Complete daily timecards and progress reports accurately
Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for 8+ hours
- Valid California Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable transportation to job sites across San Diego County
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (6 PM - 6 AM)
- Basic math skills for material calculations
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Experience with construction tools preferred but not required
