Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites through material handling, equipment setup, and safety zone establishment
- Operate power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy machinery under supervision
- Perform concrete work, trenching, and structural framing as per blueprints
- Conduct thorough site cleanup and debris removal to maintain OSHA compliance
- Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with material prep
- Implement strict safety protocols including PPE usage and hazard reporting
- Document daily progress and material usage for project tracking
Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation to job sites
- Willingness to work outdoors in extreme temperatures (night shift advantage)
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided if not certified)
- Ability to stand/walk 8+ hours per shift
- Team player with strong communication skills
