Responsibilities
- Execute construction tasks including excavation, concrete pouring, and structural framing
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, forklifts) with proper certification
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and site-specific procedures
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications
- Perform site preparation, cleanup, and waste management
- Collaborate with skilled tradesmen (carpenters, electricians, welders)
- Maintain equipment inspection logs and maintenance schedules
- Report hazards and safety concerns immediately to supervisors
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction labor experience
- Night shift availability (6 PM - 6 AM schedule)
- Valid OSHA 30-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Heavy machinery operation certification (CPCS/OSHA preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic blueprint reading and math skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
