Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and ensuring safe access routes
- Operate power tools (jackhammers, saws, drills) and heavy machinery under supervisor guidance
- Assist in pouring concrete, laying foundations, and installing structural components
- Inspect and maintain equipment daily, reporting malfunctions immediately
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and company quality standards
- Collaborate with tradespeople (carpenters, electricians) to maintain workflow efficiency
- Complete daily progress reports and material inventory logs
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction labor experience with night shift exposure
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs and perform physically strenuous tasks for 8+ hours
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and construction schematics
- Strong communication skills for team coordination
- Flexibility to work weekends and overtime during project peaks
