Responsibilities
- Perform physical tasks including excavation, material handling, and site preparation
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, forklifts, jackhammers) with proper certification
- Assist skilled trades with framing, concrete pouring, and finishing work
- Maintain job site safety protocols and equipment functionality
- Read blueprints and follow project specifications precisely
- Complete daily progress reports and material inventory
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during critical project phases
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor experience or trade school certification
- Valid OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Class A or B CDL license preferred (training provided if needed)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment maintenance knowledge
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Metro Detroit
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
