Responsibilities
- Execute excavation, demolition, and site preparation tasks
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, forklifts, etc.) with precision
- Load/unload construction materials and maintain organized job sites
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Collaborate with skilled tradesmen (carpenters, electricians) on complex builds
- Perform concrete work including pouring, finishing, and curing
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor experience required
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform strenuous physical labor
- Proficient with hand/power tools (hammers, saws, drills)
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and overtime
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
- Ability to read basic construction blueprints
