Responsibilities
- Execute foundational construction tasks including excavation, material handling, and site preparation
- Operate heavy machinery (forklifts, excavators) and power tools with precision
- Assist skilled tradesmen in concrete pouring, framing, and finishing operations
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and site cleanliness standards
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate execution of construction plans
- Perform preventative equipment maintenance and daily safety inspections
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet nightly project milestones
- Document work progress and material usage in daily shift reports
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial construction experience required
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with power tools and construction machinery
- Strong attention to detail and precision in task execution
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
