Responsibilities
- Execute heavy civil construction tasks including excavation, grading, and concrete pouring
- Operate power tools and heavy machinery (bobcats, jackhammers, saws) with precision
- Read and interpret blueprints, safety plans, and project specifications
- Maintain clean, organized job sites while adhering to OSHA standards
- Assist skilled trades with material handling and equipment setup
- Perform daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
- Collaborate with night shift supervisors to meet production targets
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years commercial construction experience
- Valid OSHA 30-hour certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs repeatedly and work in all weather conditions
- Class B CDL preferred (not required but valued)
- Knowledge of California construction safety regulations
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Reliable transportation to Harbor Way worksite
