Responsibilities
- Execute construction tasks including excavation, concrete pouring, and framing during overnight shifts
- Operate heavy machinery (skid steers, jackhammers) with proper safety protocols
- Assist carpenters and masons with material handling and site preparation
- Maintain clean and organized job sites throughout shift operations
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and emergency procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless project transitions
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months construction labor experience or equivalent training
- Valid OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong night vision and comfort working in low-light conditions
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Virginia Beach
- Basic hand tool proficiency (hammers, saws, levels)
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Must be available for 4-5 consecutive night shifts per week
