Apex General Contractors is currently seeking dedicated Night Shift Construction Laborers to join our growing team in Wichita, KS. Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the job site using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by cleaning debris, setting up barriers, and ensuring the area is ready for the day's operations.
- Equipment Support: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, masons) by providing necessary tools and materials.
- Basic Construction Tasks: Perform basic tasks such as mixing concrete, digging, tamping earth, and assisting with framing or drywall installation.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations, wear proper PPE, and report any unsafe conditions immediately.
- Site Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to prevent accidents.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy physical labor for extended periods, including lifting 50+ lbs repeatedly and standing for long durations.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction labor or general labor is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with foremen and team members.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Safety Mindset: Commitment to following safety protocols and wearing required safety gear.
