Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial/industrial settings
- Read blueprints and technical schematics for complex electrical layouts
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using diagnostic tools
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and National Electrical Code standards
- Coordinate with project teams to meet night shift deadlines
- Perform system inspections and preventive maintenance procedures
- Document work activities and maintain accurate technical records
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois electrician license (Journeyman or Master)
- Minimum 3 years commercial electrical experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification required
- Strong knowledge of NEC and Chicago municipal codes
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours
- Proficient with hand tools and diagnostic equipment
- Physical ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces
