As a night shift electrician, you'll work on commercial and industrial projects across Greater Boston, ensuring electrical systems operate flawlessly while our city sleeps. Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial/industrial settings during night shifts
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
- Perform diagnostic testing and troubleshooting of complex electrical faults
- Ensure strict compliance with NEC, OSHA, and local safety regulations
- Coordinate with project managers and day-shift teams for seamless operations
- Document all maintenance activities and system updates in digital logs
- Mentor junior electricians during overnight shift rotations
Qualifications
- Valid Massachusetts Electrician Journeyman License required
- Minimum 3 years commercial/industrial electrical experience
- Proven expertise with conduit bending, motor controls, and VFD systems
- OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work independently in low-visibility conditions
- Strong diagnostic skills for emergency troubleshooting scenarios
- Flexibility to work weekends and overtime during peak projects
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
