Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and control panels
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Perform inspections and ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety regulations
- Diagnose electrical faults using diagnostic tools and implement effective repairs
- Collaborate with project teams on large-scale installations and retrofits
- Document work orders, maintain equipment logs, and report system performance
- Mentor junior technicians and enforce safety protocols on job sites
Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial electrical experience with night shift or rotational shift background
- Valid Nebraska Journeyman Electrician license (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment (multimeters, clamp meters)
- Strong knowledge of NEC codes, OSHA standards, and local regulations
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions in low-supervision environments
- Physical stamina to handle climbing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and confined space work
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record for site travel
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
