Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures per NEC and Chicago municipal codes
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues using advanced testing equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with project managers and team members for seamless shift transitions
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures
- Manage inventory and order materials for assigned projects
- Provide exceptional client communication during emergency service calls
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Journeyman Electrician license
- Minimum 3 years of commercial/residential electrical experience
- Proven expertise with conduit bending, motor controls, and power distribution
- OSHA 30-hour certification required
- Strong diagnostic skills for industrial equipment and PLC systems
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in confined spaces
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record
- Flexibility for rotating weekend assignments
