Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair complex electrical systems in commercial/industrial facilities
- Perform diagnostic testing and troubleshooting of high/low voltage equipment
- Comply with NEC, OSHA, and local electrical codes during all operations
- Read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and project specifications
- Conduct preventive maintenance on transformers, circuit breakers, and control systems
- Lead emergency response teams for critical power failures after hours
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and system modifications
Qualifications
- Valid Virginia Journeyman or Master Electrician license
- Minimum 3 years commercial/industrial electrical experience
- Proven expertise in reading complex electrical schematics and blueprints
- OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent safety credentials
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night shifts
- Strong problem-solving skills for critical system failures
- Physical ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift 50+ lbs
- Experience with PLC systems and industrial automation preferred
