Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial/industrial facilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Perform diagnostic troubleshooting and system optimization
- Adhere to NEC codes and local Chicago regulations
- Conduct safety inspections and maintain compliance documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during critical outage repairs
- Maintain inventory and equipment in service vehicles
Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience
- Valid Illinois Journeyman Electrician license
- OSHA 10/30 certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong diagnostic skills with transformers, VFDs, and PLC systems
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Availability for flexible overnight shifts (7 PM - 7 AM)
- Physical ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces
