Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial/industrial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Perform diagnostic testing and troubleshooting of electrical faults
- Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and Chicago municipal codes
- Operate power tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety gear
- Document work orders, maintain equipment logs, and complete safety reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale projects
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years commercial electrical experience
- Valid Illinois Electrician Journeyman license
- OSHA 30-hour certification required
- Proficiency in conduit bending, wiring, and circuit troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently in low-visibility environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Valid driver's license with clean record
