Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters and masons with material handling, equipment operation, and site preparation
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting, carrying materials, and operating hand/power tools
- Maintain clean and organized job sites by removing debris and ensuring compliance with OSHA standards
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and project specifications to execute tasks accurately
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Report safety hazards and maintain proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Support site setup/teardown activities and assist with minor equipment maintenance
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of construction labor experience or equivalent trade apprenticeship
- Valid OSHA 10-hour construction certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety protocols
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance for flexible shifts (mornings/weekends)
- Ability to read simple blueprints and follow verbal/written instructions
- Must pass background check and drug screening
