Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation tasks including excavation, debris removal, and material staging
- Assist carpenters and masons with material handling and tool management
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws) under supervision
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and site protocols
- Perform quality checks on completed work sections
- Document daily progress and material usage in project logs
- Participate in daily safety briefings and toolbox meetings
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months construction site experience or trade certification
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and work in extreme weather
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
- Basic hand/power tool proficiency
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Strong verbal communication skills for team coordination
