Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation, excavation, and material handling using hand/power tools
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, cement mixers) safely under supervision
- Follow blueprints and instructions from site supervisors for accurate project execution
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, adhering to OSHA safety standards
- Collaborate with carpenters, electricians, and other skilled trades professionals
- Inspect and maintain tools/equipment for optimal performance
- Report safety hazards and maintain site security protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor or related trade experience preferred
- Valid OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and safety procedures
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow verbal/written instructions
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Flexibility to work weekends/early mornings as needed
