Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize building materials, tools, and equipment on construction sites safely and efficiently.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing job sites by cleaning debris, digging trenches, and ensuring proper grading.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment and machinery, including skid steers and forklifts (when certified).
- Assistance: Provide direct assistance to skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, and masons.
- Quality Control: Help ensure work meets project specifications and quality standards by performing basic checks and measurements.
- Site Safety: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols at all times.
- General Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents and ensure a professional environment.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for site transportation.
- Teamwork: Strong willingness to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with foremen and coworkers.
