As a Laborer at Apex General Contractors, you will play a vital role in our projects, assisting skilled tradespeople and ensuring our job sites are safe, efficient, and organized. We value reliability, safety, and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the job site using dollies, hand trucks, or forklifts.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing the construction site by digging, tamping, and clearing debris.
- Tool Operation: Operate hand and power tools safely under the supervision of a foreman or senior tradesperson.
- Site Maintenance: Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA safety regulations.
- Assistance: Provide general support to carpenters, electricians, and other trades as needed.
- Measurement: Assist in measuring and cutting materials to required specifications when necessary.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety protocols (OSHA 10 preferred but not required).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
