Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites efficiently and safely.
- Site Support: Assist skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, with daily tasks and installations.
- Site Preparation: Perform general site preparation work, including digging, leveling, and cleaning debris.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction tools and equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) under supervision.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and follow verbal instructions from supervisors.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing on concrete for long durations.
- Reliability: Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle are required.
- Experience: Prior construction or landscaping experience is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training provided.
- Communication: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
