Apex Construction Services is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Part-Time Construction Laborer to join our growing team in San Jose, CA. We specialize in high-quality residential and commercial renovations, and we are looking for individuals who are eager to learn and contribute to our success.
As a laborer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our skilled tradespeople to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. This position offers the flexibility of part-time work while providing valuable experience in the skilled trades industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with daily tasks and project execution.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment from delivery trucks.
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, laying out materials, and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Measure, cut, and handle building materials (wood, drywall, etc.) accurately.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety procedures is a plus but not required.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be available for part-time shifts, including weekends if necessary.
