Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters and masons with material preparation, cutting, and installation
- Perform site cleanup, debris removal, and safety compliance checks
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, levels) under supervision
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely
- Read basic blueprints and follow verbal/written instructions
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and company standards
- Support concrete pouring, framing, and finishing tasks
- Document daily progress and material usage accurately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California driver's license preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic tool knowledge (hammers, saws, measuring tapes)
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Reliable transportation to job sites in Oakland/Contra Costa
- Willingness to pass pre-employment background check
- Team player with punctual, dependable work ethic
