Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial properties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Ensure all work complies with NEC and local DC building codes
- Diagnose electrical faults using testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to meet deadlines
- Provide excellent customer service and clear communication with clients
- Maintain safe work practices and adhere to all safety protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial/residential electrical experience
- Valid DC Journeyman Electrician license (or reciprocity from another state)
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and local DC regulations
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel across DC metro
