Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment per NEC and local codes
- Diagnose electrical issues using testing tools and troubleshoot complex malfunctions
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
- Collaborate with contractors, clients, and team leads to ensure project timelines are met
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Complete detailed service reports and documentation for each project
- Provide exceptional customer service and technical guidance to clients
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on electrical experience (residential/commercial)
- Valid Illinois Electrician License or Journeyman certification
- Proven expertise in reading electrical schematics and blueprints
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for diverse electrical systems
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites within Chicago
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed
