Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications to execute precise installations
- Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and DC local electrical codes and regulations
- Diagnose electrical faults using advanced diagnostic tools and implement effective solutions
- Conduct safety inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical panels, wiring, and equipment
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to deliver timely, high-quality results
- Document work orders, maintain equipment inventory, and order necessary materials
- Mentor junior electricians while maintaining personal productivity standards
Qualifications
- Valid DC Master Electrician license or ability to obtain immediately
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable commercial/residential electrical experience
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and construction blueprints
- Expert knowledge of NEC, IBC, and DC local electrical regulations
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong diagnostic skills for complex electrical systems and troubleshooting
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in confined spaces or at heights
- Valid driver's license with clean record and reliable transportation
