Responsibilities
- Assist Master Plumbers: Shadow and support experienced professionals on residential and commercial service calls, repairs, and installations.
- Tool Operation: Learn to safely and effectively use hand and power tools, including pipe wrenches, threaders, and soldering torches.
- Basic Fitting: Perform basic pipe cutting, threading, and fitting of copper, PVC, and steel piping under supervision.
- Blueprint Reading: Develop the ability to read and interpret basic plumbing blueprints and schematics.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all safety regulations are followed on-site.
- Customer Service: Interact with clients professionally, answer questions regarding service estimates, and provide a high-quality customer experience.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various environments (crawl spaces, attics, outdoors).
- Soft Skills: Strong work ethic, reliability, and the desire to learn a skilled trade.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time work, including occasional overtime and weekend shifts.
