Responsibilities
- Assist licensed plumbers in installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems
- Learn to read blueprints and interpret plumbing codes
- Perform routine maintenance tasks like drain cleaning and fixture repairs
- Transport and organize plumbing materials and tools at job sites
- Ensure work areas comply with safety standards and protocols
- Document work progress and maintain equipment inventory
- Participate in ongoing skills training and certification programs
Qualifications
- No prior plumbing experience required – training provided
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in confined spaces
- Basic mechanical aptitude and tool knowledge
- Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset
- Reliable transportation to job sites across DC/VA
- Willingness to obtain plumbing certifications within 12 months
