Responsibilities
- Assist senior plumbers with pipe installations, repairs, and maintenance
- Diagnose plumbing issues using basic tools and diagnostic methods
- Perform drain cleaning, fixture repairs, and water heater services
- Follow safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Learn plumbing codes and industry best practices
- Complete apprenticeship training modules as assigned
- Support emergency plumbing calls during on-call rotations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Chicago
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
- Basic tool handling experience preferred but not required
- Commitment to completing paid apprenticeship program
