Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and piping in residential and commercial properties.
- Locate and diagnose leaks, clogs, and blockages in pipes and drains using hand tools and electronic equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams to plan project execution.
- Perform pipe cutting, threading, and soldering to connect and repair systems.
- Ensure all work adheres to local and state building codes and safety regulations.
- Clear obstructions in drains and repair water main breaks as required.
- Communicate professionally with clients to explain issues and provide solutions.
Qualifications
- No previous plumbing experience required; we provide paid on-the-job training.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and working in tight spaces.
- Valid New York State Driver’s License and reliable personal vehicle.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
